The Act on Support for Persons with Higher Brain Dysfunction, enacted in Reiwa 7, calls for the establishment of a seamless support system spanning from medical care to social participation. Higher brain dysfunction is often difficult to detect from outward appearances and frequently causes difficulties in social participation, including employment. Outpatient occupational therapy plays a role in supporting employment through cognitive function assessments and assistance in acquiring compensatory strategies. This study examines factors related to return to work among patients with cerebrovascular disease who were prescribed occupational therapy as part of outpatient rehabilitation at our hospital.
Efficacy
From the medical records, extract anonymized data with personal information removed regarding age, number of days hospitalized since onset, number of outpatient visits, presence or absence of attention deficits, memory deficits, and aphasia, occupational classification, and physical function. For the presence or absence and severity of attention deficits, memory deficits, and aphasia, as well as the level of functional hand use, extract data reflecting the patient condition at the conclusion of outpatient care.

From the medical records, extract anonymized data with personal information removed regarding age, length of hospitalization from onset, number of outpatient visits, presence or absence of attention deficits, memory deficits, and aphasia, occupational classification, and physical function. For the presence and severity of attention deficits, memory deficits, and aphasia, as well as the level of functional hand use, data reflecting the patient condition at the conclusion of outpatient treatment will be extracted.
The method involves conducting a logistic regression analysis with return to work status as the dependent variable.
