The aim of this study is to examine the effects of a Stroop task performed before motor practice on motor learning, the learning process, and next-day retention during a visuomotor adaptation task in healthy university students.
Efficacy
Time course of reaction time, defined as the interval from target presentation to movement onset, during the visuomotor rotation task on Day 1.

Stroop task group
Participants perform one 15-min Stroop task on Day 1. They are instructed to respond according to the ink color of the presented color word rather than its semantic meaning. After the Stroop task, participants rest for 30 s and then perform 100 trials of a visuomotor adaptation task with a 75-degree visual rotation. The intervention is administered once on a single day.
Control task group
Participants perform one 15-min control task on Day 1. They are instructed to respond according to the color of a neutral stimulus (XXXX). After the control task, participants rest for 30 s and then perform 100 trials of a visuomotor adaptation task with a 75-degree visual rotation. The intervention is administered once on a single day.
