Narrative objectives1
Novice practitioners may experience difficulty advancing a endotracheal tube toward the glottis with the use of a video laryngoscope monitor view. AceScopTM is equipped with a tube guide channel that may help novice practitioners accelerate intubation skills. We therefore hypothesized that AceScopeTM equipped with the tube guide channel would improve the intubation success rate in novice practitioners. We compared the success rates of tracheal intubation performed by novice practitioners with and without the tube guide on AceScopeTM, using a manikin model.
