Key inclusion criteria
Studies published from 2017 onward that meet the following Population, Concept, and Context (PCC) criteria will be included.
Population: Studies involving users of home-visit postpartum care in Japan (mothers and their families), providers (midwives, public health nurses, nurses, etc.), and municipalities and service providers involved in the delivery and operation of home-visit postpartum care.
Concept: Studies on home-visit postpartum care (outreach postpartum care) that address service content, service delivery systems, evaluation measures and outcomes, and operational challenges.
Context: Home-visit postpartum care provided as part of postpartum care services in Japan.
Key exclusion criteria
Studies focusing on home visits for newborns or during pregnancy
Studies limited to short-stay or day-service postpartum care programs
Studies focusing on postpartum telephone-based support
Studies focusing on home-visit nursing for purposes other than postpartum care
Conference abstracts and commentaries
Secondary research, including literature reviews, systematic reviews, scoping reviews, and meta-analyses
