In the intervention group, maternity healthcare providers use a mobile application based on 19 selected items from the WHO guidelines on maternal and newborn care for a positive postnatal experience to provide care to mothers. The application includes content on postnatal nutrition, infant feeding, mental health, and family support. Maternity healthcare providers in the intervention facilities use the mobile application for two months.
In the control group, mothers receive standard care from maternity healthcare providers who do not use the mobile application.
