Objectives

Narrative objectives1

The purpose of this study is to clarify the desirable communication skills for supporting people with aphasia and to identify the desired goals in the education of speech-language-hearing therapists
. Specifically, evaluation items related to desirable communication skills for supporting individuals with aphasia will be selected, and a consensus will be established using the Delphi method with a panel of faculty members and clinical instructors from speech-language-hearing therapist training schools nationwide.
This research is expected to contribute to the examination and development of educational programs that lead to the effective acquisition of communication skills in speech-language-hearing therapist training courses.

Consensus rate on the validity of each evaluation item: The knowledge items that speech-language-hearing therapists should possess as professionals will be evaluated using a 7-point Likert scale, and the percentage of positive responses will be calculated.

Key inclusion criteria

Training School Faculty: Faculty members at speech-language-hearing therapist training schools who teach the field of aphasia, and are speech-language-hearing therapists with a combined total of 10 or more years of experience in clinical practice or professional education related to aphasia.
Clinical Practicum Instructors: Speech-language-hearing therapists with 10 or more years of clinical experience related to aphasia, who also have experience in supervising clinical practica.

Key exclusion criteria

If the respondents' attributes do not meet the selection criteria, they will be excluded from the study.
