Key inclusion criteria

Physicians who received training through the Iwate Prefecture Regional Quota Scholarship Program and who were assigned to a medical facility other than a core hospital and began fulfilling their obligations during fiscal year 2024, 2025, or 2026, and who have continued to work there for at least one year.
Physicians who graduated from the Jichi Medical University under the Iwate Prefecture quota and who were assigned to a medical facility other than a core hospital and began fulfilling their obligations during fiscal year 2024, 2025, or 2026, and who have continued to work there for at least one year.

Key exclusion criteria

Physicians whose mandatory service period is irregular due to partial scholarship loans
Physicians who have repaid their scholarships and are no longer subject to assignment adjustments
Physicians whose period of assignment for mandatory service was less than one consecutive year
In addition, any other cases where the investigator determines that participation in the survey is inappropriate

Other related information

This is a questionnaire-based observational study of physicians trained through regional quota scholarship programs and similar schemes. Rural healthcare orientation will be assessed using a structured questionnaire, and orientation scores will be compared according to mandatory service status (before and after completion of mandatory service). No intervention will be performed.
