Among the directors of 33 facilities in Japan confirmed to accept paid volunteer activities conducted by elderly individuals requiring long-term care, 10 directors who expressed willingness to participate in the study were included as research participants.

This is an observational study that explores factors related to the introduction and continuation of paid volunteer activities in facilities accepting older adults requiring long-term care. A semi-structured interview will be conducted once with the facility managers, and the narratives obtained will be analyzed qualitatively.
