2012年4月1日～2020年3月31日の間に、日本医科大学付属病院救急・総合診療センターにめまいを主訴として救急搬送された15歳以上の患者。

Patients aged 15 years or older who were transported by ambulance to the Emergency and General Medicine Center of Nippon Medical School Hospital with vertigo/dizziness as the chief complaint between April 1, 2012, and March 31, 2020.

除外基準/Key exclusion criteria

日本語
・意識消失、脱力、迷走神経反射などの症状を伴い、主治医が対象として不適切と判断した症例
・vertigoとdizzinessの区別ができなかった症例
・診療記録が不十分な症例

Vertigo/dizziness accompanied by loss of consciousness, weakness, vagal reflexes, or other systemic symptoms that were judged by the attending physician to be unsuitable for inclusion
Cases in which it was not possible to determine whether the patient had vertigo or dizziness
Cases with insufficient medical records

A total of 1,529 patients transported by ambulance with a chief complaint of vertigo/dizziness between April 1, 2012, and March 31, 2020, were identified. After excluding 128 patients who presented with loss of consciousness, limb weakness, or vagal reflexes, 1,401 patients were included in the final analysis.

The study analyzed ambulance-transported patients presenting with vertigo/dizziness between April 1, 2012, and March 31, 2020. Patient data, including age, sex, date of visit, triage level, and diagnosis, were extracted from electronic medical records, and meteorological data (temperature, humidity, atmospheric pressure, precipitation, wind speed, and sunshine duration) were obtained from the Japan Meteorological Agency (Tokyo Meteorological Observatory). All data collection and analyses have been completed, and the manuscript is currently under preparation for submission.
