日本語
直腸癌の術後補助化学療法は結腸癌に準じて行われているが、直腸癌への術後補助化学療法単独の有効性に関する報告は非常に限られている。現在、術後補助化学療法の臨床試験では、手術単独の対照群をおくことは難しい。今回、本財団の直腸癌症例を含む 4つの臨床試験を統合し、手術単独群をヒストリカルコントロールデータとして活用するとともに、傾向スコアを用いて背景の偏りを調整することで、直腸癌の術後補助化学療法が、進行度ステージ別にどの程度上乗せ効果があるのかを検証する。

Postoperative adjuvant chemotherapy for rectal cancer is similar to that for colorectal cancer, but there are very few reports on the effectiveness of postoperative adjuvant chemotherapy for rectal cancer alone. Currently, it is difficult to have a control group for surgery alone in clinical trials of adjuvant chemotherapy. This time, we will integrate four clinical trials including rectal cancer cases of the JFMC data base, utilized the surgery alone group as historical control data, adjusted the background bias using the propensity score, and we will examine the efficacy of postoperative adjuvant chemotherapy for rectal cancer at different stages of progression.

We will integrate four clinical trials including rectal cancer cases of the JFMC data base, utilized the surgery alone group as historical control data, adjusted the background bias using the propensity score, and we will examine the efficacy of postoperative adjuvant chemotherapy for rectal cancer at different stages of progression.
