二元分散分析（ANOVA）の結果、IPACを用いて評価した低強度の身体活動である「歩行」について、介入群と対照群の間に有意な交互作用が認められた。介入群では、介入前（T1）と比較して介入後（T2）に歩行量が有意に増加したが、対照群ではそのような増加は認められなかった。同様に、パフォーマンスステータスについても群間の交互作用が検出され、介入群のパフォーマンスステータススコアは介入後の方が介入前よりも有意に低くなっており、活動レベルの有意な改善を示していた。

対照群と介入群の間では、ベースライン時の年齢、BMI、パフォーマンスステータス、握力に有意な差は認められなかった。がんの種類に制限を設けていなかったため、8種類のがん患者が対象に含まれた。がん患者の全参加者は化学療法を受けていた。両群間でがんの種類に有意な偏りは認められなかった。血液検査の結果、ヘモグロビン値（貧血）およびアルブミン値（栄養不良）が低くなる傾向がわずかに見られたが、白血球数およびC反応性タンパク質値[A34.1]が低かったため、炎症反応は最小限にとどまっていた。いずれのパラメータについても、両群間で有意な差は認められなかった。

The control and intervention groups did not significantly differ with respect to age, BMI, performance status, and grip strength at baseline. As the type of cancer was not restricted, patients with eight different cancer types were included. All participants with cancer underwent chemotherapy. No significant bias in cancer type was observed between the two groups. Blood test results indicated a slight tendency toward low hemoglobin (anemia) and albumin (malnutrition) levels; however, inflammatory responses were minimal because the white blood cell count and C-reactive protein level [A34.1]were low. No significant differences in any of the parameters were observed between the two groups.

参加者の流れ/Participant flow

対照群から1名、介入群から2名の患者が、2回目の評価を受けられなかったため除外された。除外された3名の患者は全員、病状の進行により外来通院を中止していた。T1とT2の間隔は、患者ごとの化学療法のスケジュールが異なっていたため、参加者間でばらつきが見られた。平均間隔は対照群で43.8 ± 17.6日、介入群で40.1 ± 17.4日であり、群間の有意差は認められなかった。

One patient from the control group and two patients from the intervention group who were unable to undergo a second assessment were excluded. All three excluded patients discontinued their outpatient visits owing to the progression of their condition. The interval between T1 and T2 differed among participants because the chemotherapy schedules of patients varied. The average interval was 43.8 +/- 17.6 days in the control group and 40.1 +/- 17.4 days in the intervention group, with no significant between-group difference.
