Those interested were screened for eligibility based on inclusion criteria:
1. Scoring above a certain threshold on the dependent measure
2. Being a staff member at a restaurant or hotel
3. Willingness to participate
4. Having worked at a restaurant or hotel for over a year
Exclusion criteria included:
1. Not meeting the threshold score
2. Participation in other psychological interventions
3. Receiving clinical or non-clinical interventions in the past year
4. Being subject to corporal punishment or having a letter of inquiry at work

The findings showed that the ACT treatment group was more successful in improving workers' resilience in the restaurant and hotel industries. The difference in mean stress scores between the pre-test and post-test for male and female workers indicates a reduction in the mean resilience scores of both groups.
