This study verifies the effectiveness of an intervention based on the "rhythm effect," which reduces stuttering by repeating rhythmic speech, in the Japanese language.
Safety,Efficacy
Results of stuttering assessments at each of the following time points: six weeks prior to the intervention; one, three, and six months post-initiation; and six months post-completion.
Results of the CAT-J at each of the following time points: six weeks pre-intervention; one, three, and six months post-initiation; and six months post-completion.
Results of the OASES-S-J at each of the following time points: six weeks pre-intervention; one, three, and six months post-initiation; and six months post-completion.
Speech in daily life situations (speech during a story retelling task evaluated based on stuttering assessment criteria) at each of the following time points: six weeks pre-intervention; one, three, and six months post-initiation; and six months post-completion.

Male and Female
1. Diagnosed with developmental stuttering by a physician based on either the ICD-10 or DSM-5 criteria.
2. Enrolled in elementary school at the start of the intervention.
3. Still attending elementary school at the end of the intervention.
1. Prior experience with an intervention using rhythm effects.
2. Received professional intervention for stuttering within the past six months.
3. Limited proficiency in Japanese, for example, due to being raised by a caregiver with a non-Japanese linguistic background.
