This study aims to investigate the commonalities and differences in the experiences, thought content, psychological states, and brain imaging findings between martial arts enthusiasts and MT practitioners. This will be achieved through semi-structured interviews, brain imaging, and psychological testing related to human development and well-being.

Selection Criteria:
Martial Arts Practitioners
Individuals who regularly practice martial arts
Aged 18 to 70
Mindfulness Training Practitioners
Aged 18 to 70

Key exclusion criteria

Individuals who, even if they had previously practiced martial arts or mindfulness, are not practicing martial arts or mindfulness at the time of the study.
