This study conducts interviews to examine the perspectives of therapists and patients in cushion selection, with a focus on understanding their decision-making processes.

A. Therapists affiliated with Fujita Health University or Fujita Health University Hospital
This study investigates the decision-making process involved in cushion selection. Therefore, therapists who have experience supporting patients in selecting cushions were included as participants. To gather a wide range of perspectives from a limited number of individuals, purposive sampling was employed, and participants were selected in accordance with this method.
B. Inpatients at Fujita Health University Hospital
This study investigates the decision-making process involved in cushion selection. Accordingly, patients with prior experience using cushions who are capable of demonstrating informed and voluntary consent were included as participants. As the study aims to collect diverse opinions from a small sample, purposive sampling was adopted, and participants were selected based on this approach.

No specific exclusion criteria.
B. Inpatients at Fujita Health University Hospital
Patients who are unable to respond to interviews due to cognitive impairment or aphasia.
