Narrative objectives1
The purpose of this study is to assess psychological safety and work engagement among paramedics, to clarify the relationship between these factors, and to examine their associations with individual attributes such as age, years of service, and work style. The findings are expected to provide insights for enhancing work engagement and fostering sustainable work environments for paramedics.

Key inclusion criteria
Currently employed as a paramedic in a fire department. Has received an explanation of the purpose and methods of the study and has provided consent to participate. Able to complete a self-administered questionnaire in Japanese.
Key exclusion criteria
Individuals who do not understand the purpose and methods of this study and do not provide consent to participate. Individuals who are unable to complete a self-administered questionnaire in Japanese. Individuals who are not currently engaged in duties as a paramedic. Any other individuals deemed inappropriate for participation by the principal investigator.
