Inclusion Criteria
Female healthcare workers (e.g., physicians, nurses, pharmacists, lab technicians) currently working in healthcare settings.

Age range typically adult working age (e.g., 18 years and above).

Working in the specified geographic region of interest, such as Al-Mukalla, Yemen.

Willingness to participate and provide informed consent.

Currently employed or actively involved in patient care or healthcare services.

Key exclusion criteria

Exclusion Criteria
Male healthcare workers.

Healthcare workers on leave, off duty, or unavailable during the study period.

Individuals unwilling to participate or not providing informed consent.

Healthcare workers with a previous diagnosis of breast cancer or currently undergoing breast cancer treatment (to focus on awareness and practice rather than treatment experience).

Possibly exclude those with severe cognitive impairment or conditions impeding ability to understand and respond to the survey.

This was a hospital-based cross-sectional study conducted from 1 February to 12 June 2022 in Al-Mukalla City, Yemen. Data collection took place at the three principal public hospitals in the city: Al Mukalla Hospital for Maternal & Child Health, Ibin Sina General Hospital, and the University Hospital.
