The applicant newly defines a group of individuals who did not exhibit ADHD symptoms during childhood but first became aware of such symptoms in adulthood as Pseudo-ADHD and is currently investigating their clinical psychological characteristics. In the present study, an exploratory examination will be conducted to assess how factors such as fear of COVID-19, current interpersonal stress events, coping strategies, social functioning, and occupational stress influence the manifestation of Pseudo-ADHD. These data will serve as theoretical support for the effectiveness of interpersonal counseling in addressing depressive states following the resolution of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Others
Comparisons will be made among scores on various assessment scales, including fear of COVID-19 and depression, as well as analyses of their associations while considering participants' background information.
This study examines the influence of scores on various assessment scales on the presence or absence of "Pseudo-ADHD", including the Interpersonal Stress Event Scale, the Brief COPE, the Work and Social Adjustment Scale (WSAS), the Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale (HADS), the Brief Job Stress Questionnaire, and the Japanese version of the Fear of COVID-19 Scale (FCV-19S-J).
