The purpose of this study was to clarify the effects of using first-person videos of elderly people with dementia on the awareness and practice of person-centered care among nurses who participated in a three-day training program for improving the responsiveness of nursing staff to dementia sponsored by the Shizuoka Prefecture Nursing Association.

Key inclusion criteria

Persons who have been distributed a brochure inviting participation in the training for this study and have obtained their consent to participate in the study of their own free will.

Key exclusion criteria

Subjects who meet any of the following conditions will not be included in this study

(1) Nurses who have not participated in the training program to improve nursing staff's ability to cope with dementia

(2) Those who have not given their consent to participate in the study
