Consume alcohol on average three or more times per week
Have consumed 60 grams or more of pure alcohol on at least one occasion during the past week
full-time daytime worker
Able to use the LINE messaging application
Key exclusion criteria
Intend to leave or change employment during the study period
Currently on a leave of absence
Pregnant or lactating

Other related information
This registration covers two independent annual cross-sectional surveys conducted in 2025 (Phase 1) and 2026 (Phase 2). The target sample size is 100 participants per survey, for a total of 200 participants. The two annual datasets will be analyzed and reported separately, and no pooled analysis is currently planned. The 2026 survey will be conducted after an ethics-approved amendment with partial changes or additions to cooperating companies and questionnaire items. Data will be collected using baseline and end-of-study questionnaires, daily and weekly questionnaires, and a drinking calendar, including alcohol use, drinking start and end times, sleep, work productivity, health status, work status, work start and end times, fatigue, and busyness. Manuscripts using 2025 data will report data collected under the pre-amendment protocol.
