Key inclusion criteria

For all participants included in this study, the age was between 20 - 55 years, feeling pain around the neck, the pain was felt for a maximum of three months, and on physical examination, there was at least 1 palpable nodule in the trapezius, rhomboid, or supraspinatus muscle, and MTrP was proven by ultrasonography.

Key exclusion criteria

Exclusion of study participants included entries including a history of chronic diseases such as diabetes mellitus or cancer, using non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) or analgesics, skin infections, open wounds, using other therapeutic modalities outside the study.
