Key inclusion criteria
Sumo wrestlers enrolled in primary school, junior high and high schools in Japan
Key exclusion criteria
Individuals who are deemed unable to participate in the study due to acute diseases or severe injuries, those who are judged to have chronic diseases or medical histories that may affect measurements, and those who withdraw from the club activities during the study period.

The study targets youth sumo wrestlers in Tochigi Prefecture, collecting data at three time points: baseline, 6 months, and 12 months. The measurements include body composition (InBody S10), motor function (speed and jump power measured using photoelectric sensors), and physical fitness tests (grip strength, side steps, 20m shuttle run, etc.). These data will be analyzed using descriptive statistics and correlation analysis, comparing them with national averages and identifying factors related to match performance.
