Objectives

Narrative objectives1

A questionnaire survey targeting cancer patients and survivors will be conducted with the aim of 1) identifying issues related to early diagnosis and early intervention through understanding of the current state of the medical system for stroke and cardiovascular diseases in cancer care in Japan, and 2) proposing measures for better medical care system and human resource development.

This study will be conducted as part of the "Research Contributing to the Early Detection and Early Intervention of Cardiovascular Diseases and Stroke in Cancer Patients" funded by the Sciences Research Grant (2023-2024) by the Comprehensive Research Project for Cancer Control Promotion, the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare in Japan.

Recruitment and enrollment of study participants:
Japan Federation of Cancer Patient Groups will distribute a "Request for cooperation in the questionnaire survey" to its members via email. "Request for cooperation in the questionnaire survey" includes a summary of the questionnaire survey, as well as the Google Form URL and a QR code that links to the Google Form. After an explanation of the questionnaire survey, the Google Form includes a box for checking consent to the collection of information to be used in the study, and the participants are then asked to click the box to indicate their consent.
