The purpose of this study is to quantitatively and qualitatively determine the outcomes for older adults with dementia and care staff toward person-centered care by using action research to improve care staff's interest in and practice with older adults with dementia toward person-centered care.

Dementia care mapping is conducted with the same elderly person with dementia four times a year for six hours of observation from 10:00 to 16:00, and one hour of feedback is given each time on the results.

Key inclusion criteria

elderly residents admitted to the second floor of Bethel Home
Persons who have given written family/personal consent to participate in this study
Elderly people whom the care staff on the second floor consider in need of improved care using dementia care mapping.
Care staff
Care staff on the second floor of Bethel Home
Persons who agreed to participate in this study

Key exclusion criteria

Elderly persons who are in poor health or who do not prefer to be observed.

Persons who do not consent to participation in this study
