The effects of mindfulness breathing using a tablet device on autonomic nervous system function were quantitatively evaluated using frequency analysis and chaos analysis of fingertip volume pulse waves.
Efficacy
The experiment will consist of two parts: fixed-point measurement and daily measurement.
Fixed-point measurement
Period: 1 day
Location: University laboratory
Frequency: 1 day
Content:
Mindful breathing group: mindful breathing using a tablet device
Control group: gazing at the cross on the tablet device screen
Daily measurements
Location: Home
Measurement item: Finger plethysmogram before sleep
Subjects: Mindful breathing group and control group
Measurement days: Day 1, Day 9
Evaluation indicators: Pulse wave amplitude value calculated from finger plethysmogram, Rippanov index, fractal dimension
