1.Data sources and search strategy
To elucidate the treatments administered to adults experiencing hiccups, a comprehensive literature search will be conducted. The literature search will utilize electronic databases including Ichu-shi, PubMed, CINAHL, and CENTRAL, covering all publications up to June 3, 2024. The keyword "hiccups" will be used for the search.
2.Selection of studies in included studies
Two researchers will independently screen the literature based on the selection criteria to determine the eligible papers. In cases where there are discrepancies in the screening evaluations between the researchers, they will discuss to reach a consensus. If the disagreement persists, the decision will be made through a discussion with a third party.
