Narrative objectives1
According to the report from WHO, COVID related deaths in Africa was only 2% of total amount of the world. To reveal the underlying reasons, three hypotheses were made.
1) A healthy diet is effective against COVID-19.
2) Blood vitamin D levels are associated with COVID-19 mortality.
3) COVID-19 and gut microbiota are associated.
A PubMed search was conducted to verify these hypotheses.

Key exclusion criteria
Articles other than Randomised Clinical Trials (RCTs) were excluded.
