As a pre-treatment for stretching, it is reported that thermotherapy improves soft tissue extensibility more than stretching alone, and the combined effect of hot packs and stretching has also been reported. Bathing is an easy way to use thermotherapy in daily life. In clinical stretching instruction, it is often explained that "stretching after bathing is expected to have a greater effect on flexibility. However, there have been no reports of the effectiveness of stretching after bathing, and the effectiveness of stretching after bathing remains unclear. Therefore, this study examines the effects of stretching on flexibility of the lower limbs of both bathing and non-bathing groups of elementary and junior high school baseball players, who are considered to be in the most need of pitching injury.
