At the point of reaching each gambling centre, participants were solicited to sign up for the study if they wish to participate. As they complete the written informed consent letter, an envelope that contained copies of questionnaires, pen, and pencil. All participants were asked to move to venues designated by the researcher called collection centres. The collection centres are places identified by the researcher and very close to each gambling venue. Each participant was given a packet of an envelope to complete the instruments within 30 to 40 minutes. The sitting arrangement during the exercise was an average 7 metres away from one participant to another.
