The purpose of this study is to reveal gaze behavior during body rotation of stroke patients and to examine approaches to gaze behavior for fall prevention.

Male and Female
Participants had been walking for at least one month after a first-time stroke and that they were able to walk independently for more than 100 m with or without an assistive device.
None of the participants had any indications of the following symptoms: (a) neurological, orthopedic, or other disorders that could affect walking, (b) history of visual deficits, (c) visual field deficits and visual-spatial neglect, and (d) a score of less than 24 on the Mini-Mental State Examination (MMSE)

Participants wore an eye-mark recorder (EMR-9, Nac Co., Ltd.) and a small accelerometer (AMWS020, ATR-promotions). They are presented with the aperture made of two screens 4m in front of the participants and they perform the walking through the aperture task six times. Then, they perform the timed up-and-go task three times on each side (paretic and non-paretic side).
