For the intervention group the mean change from pre-test to post-test, significantly increased for knowledge (p =< .001), skills (p = 0.001), and confidence (p =< .001) scores, but there was no significant difference in attitude score (p = 0.15). Likewise, for the mean change from pre-test to follow-up test, the intervention group significantly increased their attitude (p = <.001), knowledge (p = < .001), skills (p = 0.008) and confidence (p = < .001).

The mean number of years of nursing experience was 11.2 years in the intervention group and 12.2 years in the control group. Regarding experience working with foreign nurses, 13 (21.7%) in the intervention group and 21.7% in the control group in both groups were currently working together, and 7 (11.7%) in the intervention group and 8 (13.3%) in the control group had worked with them in the past. Eleven (18.3%) of the intervention group and 16 (26.7%) of the control group had taught foreign nurses, and 14 (23.3%) of the intervention group and 15 (25.0%) of the control group had lived abroad.
Through random assignment using the minimization method, 120 participants were assigned to the intervention and control groups.
Two of the intervention group participants did not attend the workshop and did not respond to the pre-test and beyond. One participant in the control group did not respond to the post-test and two did not respond to the follow-up test. No participants withdrew their consent to participate in the study.
