Key inclusion criteria

Patients undergoing thoracoscopic or mediastinoscopic esophagectomy at Department of Gastroenterological Surgery at our hospital due to thoracic esophageal cancer
Patients who received sufficient explanations for participation in this study and obtained written consent of the patients' own free will

Key exclusion criteria

Patients to whom rehabilitation were not performed due to poor general condition.
Patients who were judged to be inappropriate for this study due to many comorbidities by the principal investigator.
