1) Persons who live in Yao city and were diagnosed with COVID-19 between March 2021 and April 2022 (COVID-19 group) and age-, sex-, area (elementary school area)- matched non-infected residents* (Control group)

*We excluded those who were diagnosed with COVID-19 between January 2020 and the date of participant selection

This is a cross-sectional study of patients who live in Yao city, Osaka, and were diagnosed with COVID-19 between March 2021 and April 2022, and age-, sex-, and area-matched non-infected residents. A self-administered questionnaire will be used to examine long-term symptoms associated with COVID-19, new onset diseases, physical and mental health, and socioeconomic status.
