Objectives

Narrative objectives1

Sex differences have been reported to affect somatosensory evoked potentials recorded by EEG. However, the effects of sex differences on human brain inhibitory and attentional functions have not been clarified at all. It has been reported that the human attentional function is useful for quickly perceiving changes in the surroundings, and the inhibitory function in the brain is useful for sorting sensory information such as two-point discrimination. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to examine the effects of gender on attentional function and brain inhibitory function, and to clarify the differences in attentional function and brain inhibitory function between males and females.
