We investigated muscle volume change after pelvic exenteration(PE) retrospectively. Areas of gluteal muscles and psoas muscles, common surrogate marker of sarcopenia, were calculated using CT images before and after PE, and the difference was compared.
In addition, this study aimed to clarify the influence of additional internal iliac artery (IIA) resection on the loss of the gluteus muscle volume after pelvic exenteration (PE).
