Observe the effect of alveolar bone recovery using a bone graft material with high bone regeneration ability for the purpose of recovery of the alveolar bone defect that cannot be healed spontaneously lost because of apical periodontitis.

Evaluate the condition of the bone defect one year after the surgery by x-ray.

| Maneuver |
The GBR method is performed in which the bone defect after apicoectomy is filled with a refit dental and the outside is covered with an elashield membrane.

Male and Female
(1) Disease name Apical periodontitis Periapical cyst (WZ) Bone defect with a maximum diameter of 5 mm or more on dental X-ray
(2) Patients who are scheduled to do apicoectomy at the Department of Endodontics of our university
(1) Patients with or have a history of malignant tumor
(2) Patients with or have a history of abnormal gingival overgrowth
(3) Oral diagnosis reveals malignant tumors, precancerous lesions or suspected findings
(4) Patients under 20 years old or over 70 years old (at the time of registration)
(5) Other safety for patients suffering from serious infections and the dentist deems inappropriate apicoectomy
Consider conducting interviews and inspections on the following items from the perspective of countermeasures.
(A) Hepatitis B virus (HBV)
(B) Hepatitis C virus (HCV)
(C) Human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) (d) Human T-cell leukemia virus type 1 (HTLV-1)
