Method: The following electronic databases are searched in June 2021: PubMed, the Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials (CENTRAL), the Physiotherapy Evidence Database (PEDro), and the Cumulative Index to Nursing and Allied Health Literature (CINAHL) and Igaku Chuo Zasshi (ICHUSHI). The search strategy is a combination of free text words and Medical Subject Headings (MeSH) terms. The 2 concepts of intervention and outcome are combined with the AND operator. Intervention is defined as gait training with a pole. Outcome is defined as gait ability. For each concept, synonyms and Medical Subject Headings (MeSH) terms are combined with the OR operator.
