To determine the optimal wiping pressure during bed baths based on the effects on skin barrier function and subjective evaluation among older patients and to ascertain the characteristics of patients for whom optimal wiping pressure should be applied.

2)Patients able to communicate daily and sign the informed consent form of the study
1)Patients with excessive sweating
2)Patients whose forearms had skin abnormalities such as severe redness, swelling, hematoma, erosion, and edema
3)Patients with complaints of fever or pain
4)Patients with paralysis in both upper limbs
5)Patients who had already received skin care such as bathing, showering, and application of moisturizers or ointments on the day of the data collection
6)Patients who were undergoing or had undergone radiotherapy within the past year
