Key inclusion criteria

From August 2019 to the end of August 2020, we will continuously target patients who are scheduled to undergo the first open heart surgery under cardiopulmonary bypass or cardiac arrest at our facility.

Key exclusion criteria

Preoperative exclusion criteria
1) Moderate or severe tricuspid regurgitation / Right heart surgery
2) On beating surgery
3) Scheduled intraoperative assisted circulation use (VA-ECMO, IABP, LVAD)
4) Pacemaker
5) Chronic atrial fibrillation
6) Complication of left-right short-circuit disease
7) Abnormal regional wall motion
8) Contraindications for 3DE and PAC (pulmonary artery catheter) insertion
Intraoperative exclusion criteria
1) Use of pacemaker due to sinus node syndrome, atrioventricular block during surgery,
2) Atrial fibrillation during surgery
3) Addition of tricuspid valve surgery, change to surgery on beating, off-pump surgery
4) Use of auxiliary circulation after withdrawal from the heart-lung machine
5) Cannot be monitored by three-dimensional transesophageal echocardiography or pulmonary artery catheter
