Narrative objectives1 The interaction between COVID-19 and cardiovascular disease appears complex and bi-directional with cardiovascular disease increasing susceptibility to SARS-CoV-2 infection or COVID-19 severity and at the same time COVID-19 causing injury to the cardiovascular system in some patients.
