chronic neck pain
tenderness or pain above the cervical joints (Jull,Bogduk, and Marsland, 1988)
poor performancein the CFE unable to control more than the second stage of the test, in which they were asked to hold progressively increasing ranges of CFE
if they had undergone cervical spine surgery,
reported any neurological signs,
or had undergone a neck exercise program in the past 12 months.
Patients with severe pain unable to have neck
motion were also excluded because the CFE may
have increased the symptoms of this group.
