The risk of non-vertebral fractures in subjects with 25(OH)D levels of <10 ng/mL was 6.55 times higher than that in subjects with 25(OH)D levels of >=30 ng/mL over a period of 5 years. Additionally, 25(OH)D levels of <20 ng/mL were significantly associated with an increased risk of non-vertebral fractures over a period of 15 years.
