Number of participants that the trial has enrolled	38
Results	No significant difference was observed in blood glucose, insulin, HbA1c, HOMA-beta and HOMA-R between the control group and the trans acid group. No significant difference was observed between the groups in systolic blood pressure and diastolic blood pressure. The amount of trans acid in erythrocytes was significantly higher in the trans acid group than in the control group.

Baseline Characteristics	Healthy adult women in their 20s and 50s
Participant flow	Forty-one wanted to participate, but a blood test revealed that three needed treatment. Eventually 38 people participated in the study.

Outcome measures	blood glucose, insulin, HbA1c, HOMA-beta, HOMA-R, systolic blood pressure and diastolic blood pressure.
