Heart failure (HF) is one of the most prevalent chronic diseases among elderly. The growing heart failure (HF) epidemic imposes a substantial burden on the Japan health care system. Understanding and quantifying clinical profiles of elderly patients with HF are imperative for planning appropriate preventive and therapeutic interventions.
