Narrative objectives1	We developed a tablet PC application for inpatients receiving a total hip arthroplasty (THA). We aimed to examine the effectiveness of this application in improving and maintaining both self-care and health-care behaviors in rehabilitation and prevention of complications.

Key inclusion criteria	Patients who is going to received THA for the first time
Key exclusion criteria	Patients who have been judged not typical adaptation to clinical pass because of complications or operation contents, who had difficulties in operating and reading the tablet PC because of hearing loss, amblyopia, or arm and joint disorders, or those who had been examined inappropriate to this study by a chief physician were also excluded.
