In this study, blood samples are collected from 1) 40 patients undergoing cardiovascular surgery using cardiopulmonary bypass and
2) 40 patients treated with continuous hemodiafiltration or extracorporeal circulatory support in intensive care unit.
Results from dielectric blood coagulometry are compared with those from thromboelastography, laboratory based blood coagulation tests, and inflammatory biomarkers, which can be related with coagulation abnormality.
