Catheter closure of a patent foramen ovale could be safely performed with Ampatzer Cribriform or Amplatzer PFO Occluder. This procedure may contribute to prevention of recurrent cryptogenic CVA in Japanese patients, especially in patients who have spontaneous interatrial right-to-left shunts.
