The subjects are given an Electrolysis hydrogen water or a usual clean water, and we evaluate insulin resistance (HOMA-IR) before drinking and 3-month later.

This study is a prospective double blind randomized control trial. The entry period of this study is one year. Subjects are type 2 diabetes mellitus patients without insulin therapy. The subjects are randomly assigned to two groups, an Electrolysis hydrogen water drinking group and a usual clean water drinking group. The subjects are given an Electrolysis hydrogen water (1,500-2,000mL/day, for 12 weeks) in an Electrolysis hydrogen water drinking group.

The subjects are given a usual clean water (1,500-2,000mL/day, for 12 weeks)
in a usual clean (placebo) water drinking group.

Key inclusion criteria

The subjects enrolled in our study are type 2 diabetes mellitus outpatients, who visit our hospitals and fulfilled the following criteria: 1) without insulin therapy 2) the HbA1c levels are less than 10 % 3) without congestive heart failure 4) Within 20-80 years old.

Key exclusion criteria

1) The age > 80 years old or < 20 years old.2) The subjects are received insulin therapy. 3) Subjects who drank electrolysis hydrogen water within two months. 4) Complicated with congestive heart failure (the BNP level > 500 pg/mL)
