An attempt was made to examine the efficacy of high dosage of betahistine in patients with unilateral peripheral vestibulopathy such as vestibular neuritis, who complains of persistent dizziness for 3 months. For this purpose, we evaluate their score of Dizziness Handicap Inventory and vestibular function after administration of 72mg/day for 4 weeks.

Medicine |
Oral administration of high dosage of betahistine mesilate (72mg/day) for 4 weeks
Oral administration of ordinary dosage of betahistine mesilate (36mg/day) for 4 weeks

Male and Female
Adult (20-80 y/o) patients with unilateral peripheral vestibulopathy except Meniere's disease and benign paroxysmal positional vertigo, who complains of persistent dizziness for 3 months.
1) Patients with peptic ulcer.
2) Patients with bronchial asthma.
3) Patients with pheochromocytoma.
4) Pregnant and breast-feeding female patients
5) Patients who suffered from repetitive vertigo attacks
6) Patients who was excluded by investigators.
