Narrative objectives1
Combined therapy with DPP-4 inhibitors and alpha-GIs is highly effective for suppressing postprandial hyperglycemia. This study aimed to compare the effectiveness of alpha-GIs, voglibose and miglitol, in combination with DPP-4 inhibitor by using CGM.

Key inclusion criteria
All subjects presented with postprandial hyperglycemia in spite of administration of alogliptin (25mg) for more than 1 week. Participants provided their informed consent to participate in the study.
Key exclusion criteria
Patients using insulin therapy, those who were or may have been pregnant, and those with severe liver dysfunction (AST and ALT: 3 times the normal levels) were excluded.
